TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
You can make many plans, but the LORD’s purpose will prevail. Proverbs 19:21 (NLT)
TODAY’S WORD
Making plans is an essential part of the circle of life and at one point in time or the other, we must have heard the saying, to fail to plan is to plan to fail.
We plan for all aspects or areas of our lives, for ourselves, out family, career, relationships, finances, business and also even death.
The fact is there is absolutely nothing wrong with planning. Plans are essential and great. The only thing for most of us, the efficacy, efficiency and effectiveness of our plans were exposed to us between February and now.
Our scripture for today should actually help us put things in perspective. We can make plans, but one plan should be our priority, that is, the plan to surrender all our plans to God’s plan.
Jeremiah 29:11, drives the point home with clarity in these words, For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Interesting indeed. All our plans are about hope for the future, and God says He already has plans laid out. So, please remind yourself, what exactly are your plans?
PRAYER FOR TODAY .
Almighty Father who reigns supreme over the heavens and the earth, we give You praise this morning and we bless Your holy name. Father, teach us to surrender all our plans and make our only plan, be that only Your plan for our lives will prevail. In Jesus mighty name. Amen
