REMEMBERING WHAT GOD SAID TO DARKNESS
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE 
Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. Genesis 1:2-3 (NIV) Hallelujah.
TODAY’S WORD 
There seems to be so much darkness across the world at this time, that it should remind us of the description in *Genesis 1 of how things were at the very beginning.
For some of us at this time, the reality is that some aspect or aspects of our lives seem formless, empty, and in darkness and we just are wondering what next.
We also read in our bible verse for today, that God said Let there be light,” and there was light. That is God’s area of specialisation. He speaks light into darkness and form into formlessness.
This day, in the midst of this present, piercing darkness, whatever the situation we are in, we must remember continually and continuously, no matter how dark it may seem or it may get, that in the midst of darkness, God always declares light and there must be light. Hallelujah.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father Almighty God, we bless You and honour You this day. Lord, in the midst of the overbearing darkness, we bring our petition to You this day, that You O Lord, look upon us and declare once again upon the earth that Let There be Light, that there may be light in the whole world. In Jesus mighty name we have prayed. Amen
