President Buhari meets aggrieved Yahaya Bello in Aso Rock, today

- June 7, 2022

All Progressives Congress has kick-started the electioneering process to produce the party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections.

The process started with the accreditation of delegates for the special convention and presidential primary election which is ongoing at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.

Delegates were driven into the accreditation centre in designated buses.

The major contenders for the APC presidential ticket are; APC National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and the immediate past Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon Rotimi Amaechi.

President Muhammadu Buhari is currently meeting with the Governor of Kogi State and presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, Yahaya Bello.

We recall that Yaya Bello stormed out of Aso Rock meeting threatening to address a world press conference on the convention.

The meeting is holding at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The Kogi state governor is among the 23 presidential aspirants of the APC cleared to contest for the primary of the party.
Although the APC governors from the north have resolved that power should shift to the south, Governor Bello has disassociated himself from the resolution.

The agenda of the meeting between the president and the governor was not made known, but there is an insinuation that Bello may discuss his decision on whether he will step down or not with the president.
