HE WILL TAKE YOUR BURDENS
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.* Matthew 11:28 (NLT)
TODAY’S WORD 
Our journey through this life we live in is fraught with incidents and challenges that cause us to become weary and carriers of heavy burdens.
The word weary means feeling or showing extreme tiredness, especially as a result of excessive exertion or reluctance to see or experience any more of and to be tired of whilst, a heavy burden is to hold or carry something heavy or accept or deal with something heavy. Those two are definitely a lethal combination for any life.
Our Lord Jesus understands this. Whilst He was here on earth, He saw for Himself how people lived their lives weary and heavily burdened and offered Himself to be our burden bearer, once we come to Him.
In Psalm 68:19, the Psalmist declares *Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens. Yes, when we come to Christ, He bears our burdens daily.
Whatever might be causing us to be extremely tired due to excessive exertion or whatever we might be carrying that is too heavy for us in any area of our lives today, Christ is instructing us to come the Him and He will take over everything we are carrying.
He is asking us to hand it all over to Him. He is reminding us that He went to the Cross to take all our burdens, and all we need to do is enter into his rest Glory be to God.
PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father Almighty God, creator of the heavens and the earth, we bless You this glorious morning. Lord we thank You for Your word and Your instruction to come to You and You will take over everything that is causing us to be weary and all our heavy burdens and we cast all unto You this morning. In Jesus name. Amen
